Anna Blum grew up in New York City and recently graduated from Vassar College with a degree in film. She is deeply interested in studying and telling stories about the hilarious and difficult experience of personhood. She aims to give a voice to sensitivity, insecurity and emotionality through filmmaking, exploring and celebrating their importance where she feels they have often been trivialized. 'That Your Body is for Receiving Happiness and Good Stuff' is her senior thesis film. Her first short, 'Generation Girl' was made during her semester abroad at Sydney Film School. She currently lives in New York and spends her free time writing scripts and stories she hopes to make into films in the near future.
